The urinary system which is responsible for the removal of fluid waste from your body is an important system. Urological diseases are types of ailments related to the filtering and the passing out of urine from the body. These diseases are common amongst people and will affect men and women in different ways. In females, urinary diseases usually affect their urinary tract. Males mostly suffer from affects to their reproductive organs. Here are descriptions of the most common types of urinary disease and their respective treatments.
Painful Bladder Syndrome
Also known as Interstitial cystitis, Painful bladder syndrome occurs due to the inflammation in the bladder walls. The symptoms of this disease can be minor or severe and varies from person to person. The symptoms include pain in the urethra and the frequent urge to urinate. This condition decreases the capacity of the bladder and it can even cause ulcers. This syndrome can be treated naturally by making lifestyle changes. Otherwise, surgery might be needed for severe cases.
Urinary Incontinence
This disease refers to the loss of control in urinating. This happens due to bladder prolapse in which the bladder loses its support due to the weakening of vaginal muscles. Vaginal walls weaken due to childbirth, menopause, neurological diseases and diabetes. There are several types of urinary incontinence such as urge, stress and overflow incontinence. They result in symptoms such as leakage, painful urination, and frequent urge to urinate. Controlling the fluid intake can help alleviate incontinence.
Enlarged Prostrate
This condition is also known as Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia. The enlargement of the prostate gland is common among old men. Persons with this disease will sense a frequent urge to urinate due to pressure exerted on the urethra. Other symptoms are leakage and the sensation that the bladder is still not empty after urination. This condition cannot be cured entirely, but the symptoms can be lessened. The treatment usually involves medications that are known as alpha-blockers. In addition, pelvic floor exercise can help improve bladder control.
Ureteral Stones
The accumulation of crystals in urine can lead to the formation of stones in the kidney. Kidney stones usually move around in the urinary system. These stones can impede the flow of urine and cause severe lower abdominal pains. Large stones can completely block the flow of urine and in such instances, surgery has to be done.
The above urinary diseases can be prevented by staying hydrated, limiting the intake of salt, eliminating caffeine and alcohol from the diet and exercising regularly. In addition, schedule check-ups with your doctor to ensure good urological health.
We live in a world of comparisons and we live by comparing one with another. Think of a time when you made a purchase decision or whatever choice without taking another factor into consideration. I bet there’s none. No matter what the situation is whenever you are given the chance to choosing one out of many, you will end up comparing one another to see that you’ve chosen the best. In the case of buying a piece of furniture you will think of the colour, design, the material it’s made of and the durability factors of the many options available and finally choose one according the price that you are happy with.
An education mold the personality of a person. That is why we are so interested in offering the right foundation for our children. When we plan for a family, about our kids and their exposure, education will be one of our first concerns. We are interested in allowing a greater exposure for our kids to help their personalities to grow up in a sound and safe environment. As the main subjects we influence our kids and push them off in mastering more academic achievements. We also encourage them to obtain higher grades in subjects such as science, technology, mathematics, chemistry, physics and etc. but have we ever given them the opportunity to get their selves educated from something that helps to frame up their real life and experiences?
